Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• •Waitlist and account information: your email address, name (if provided), and authentication data when you sign up or sign in.
• •Approximate location at signup (derived from your IP address, e.g., country and region) to understand where interest is coming from.
• •Usage information: interactions with the website and app, feature usage, crash reports, and device information (OS, app version, hardware capabilities such as GPU support).
• •Billing information: handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We receive subscription status and limited billing metadata, never your full card number.
• •Your content: footage, audio, and images you edit. Projects are stored locally on your device by default (see “Where your content is processed”).

2. Where your content is processed

Rendering, transcription, footage indexing, and person matting run locally on your machine by default. Your footage does not leave your device for these features.

When you invoke a cloud AI feature (for example, agent edits or motion graphics generation), the relevant clips, frames, transcripts, or prompts are sent to the AI provider needed to fulfill that request, either our managed providers (on paid plans) or providers you connect with your own API keys (on the free plan). Content sent with your own keys is governed by that provider's terms.

We do not use your content to train AI models without your explicit opt-in.

3. How we use information

• •Manage the waitlist and send you early access invitations and product updates (you can unsubscribe at any time).
• •Process subscriptions and prevent fraud and abuse.
• •Understand aggregate usage so we can prioritize features and fix problems.

4. Analytics and cookies

Our website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic (pages visited, referral source, approximate location). Analytics cookies are used for this purpose. You can block cookies in your browser without losing access to the website.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under contract:

• •Infrastructure and authentication (e.g., Supabase for accounts and data storage)
• •Payments (Stripe)
• •Email delivery (e.g., transactional and waitlist emails)
• •AI providers, only to fulfill features you invoke
• •Analytics (Google Analytics, website only)
• •Authorities, where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service

6. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account exists or as needed to provide the Service. Waitlist information is kept until you're onboarded or you ask to be removed. Locally stored projects remain on your device and under your control; deleting the app or project files removes them. You can request deletion of your account data at any time.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@motionfly.app. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege infrastructure, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; keeping your projects local by default reduces exposure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for those transfers.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or an in-product notice before it takes effect. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
